Standing Together

They showed up one by one, then all at once, filling the space with steady presence. No single person led with force, but leadership emerged through shared responsibility.

Social science research shows that collective efficacy, the belief that people can achieve goals together, strengthens resilience and improves outcomes in communities (Sampson et al. 919). She felt like a hero without standing alone, accepted for who she was while contributing to something larger. Motivation grew in the space between them, built on trust, cooperation, and the quiet power of unity.
